Telepathy

The Telepathy power allows the Force User to communicate Telepathically with another living creature within range. This Telepathic communication is easier the more familiar the Telepath is with the target, so if the target is a familiar person it may be easier to communicate from further away. This ability does not work on an unwilling target.

Using Telepathy on a target that one is familiar with lowers the difficulty by granting Free Hits. These Free Hits count towards communicating with the target over the distance the GM sets.

To determine if a connection can be made, the Telepath uses an Action and composes a dice pool consisting of their Force Rating + Telepathy power + ranks in Distant TP. They roll this pool and check the resulting hits against the distance table below. If the target of the communication is within the largest distance afforded to them by the number of Hits, communications are established, otherwise, the target is too far away and Telepathy fails.

By default this communication is with only 1 other (biological) creature, but a Telepath may spend 1 Motivation to add 1 more participant and act as a gateway for thoughts.

This can be repeated, but costs an additional 1 Motivation per new participant. The Expansive TP Talent grants double the number of targets and can be purchased up to 3 times, so would allow a group telepathic connection of 9 total participants (including the Telepath).

Mind Reading

This power can also be used to read the surface thoughts of a creature by spending 1 Motivation and using an Action to roll a dice pool equal to the Telepath's Force Rating + Telepathy Power + ranks in Sensitive TP. This is versus the target's Emotional Control if they are unaware of the attack and Confidence + Emotional Control if they are aware. On a success, the Force User is able to feel the target's surface thoughts. If the Telepath gets at least 1 uncanceled Critical Hit then the target is unaware of this Telepathic link. The Subtle TP talent can aid in this by providing more Critical Hits.

Illusion

The Illusion power lets the Force User create a metal impression of an image or a sound, or both. By spending 1 Motivaiton and using an Action, the Telepath can create an illusion Medium Sized with a sound seemingly emitted at normal speaking volume. To increase the size or volume of the illusion, additional Motivation must be spent. Smaller and quieter illusions do not require additional Motivation.

Additional points can be spent to increase the size and loudness of the illusion.

After the Motivation has been spent, the Force User then rolls their Force Rating + Illusion power + ranks in Tricky TP against the target's Perception + Insight (doubled if they have the Prudence Virtue). On a success, the creature believes the illusion is real for up to 1 minute. On a critical success, the creature believes it's real permanently. On a failure the creature realizes that it's an illusion, and may also gets an indication that you were the one that created the illusion or a sense of where you are.

This power can be channeled for up to 1 minute. A Telepath can spend additional Motivation to continue the channeling for 1 minute per Motivation.

This power does not work on Droids or biological creatures viewing the situation through a device, such as a video feed.

Mind Control

This power allows for direct influence over another creature's mind. As an Action, the Force User must spend 2 Motivation and give a simple command with a hand gesture (no more than 1 sentence). The Force User must then roll Force Rating + Mind Control power versus the target's Emotional Control if they are unaware that a Force Power is being used against them and Confidence + Disposition if they are aware. On a success, the creature obeys the command for up to 1 minute. On a critical success (at least 1 uncanceled Critical Hit) the creature also doesn't remember being influenced. On a failure the ability doesn't work and the target realizes the Force User was trying to manipulate it.

Additional Critical Hits can be generated using the Subtle TP Talent to prevent the user from detecting the mind control.

The Telepath can channel the command for longer than 1 minute by spending Motivation. This increases the duration of the Mind Control by 1 minute per Motivation spent.

The Efficient TP Talent can double this amount up to twice without the need for additional Motivation.

This power does not work on Droids.

Battle Meditation

This power allows the Telepath the ability to enhance and guide their allies' movements.

As an Action, the Telepath spends 1+ Motivation and goes into a light meditative trance. While in this state they can do little more than move at a walking pace and engage in light conversation.

This power grants a nearby ally an extra die to use for any Skill check, Attack or Defense. This power also uses the Telepathy Familiarity and Distance Tables for range.

The number of allies that can be granted the same bonus is equal to the Telepath's Force Rating + Battle Meditation Power and doubled by the Expansive TP Talent up to 3 times. The targets of this power cannot be Droids or other nonliving creatures.

This Force Power can be channeled for 1 Round during Combat by default. The Telepath can extend the duration by spending 1 Motivation for each additional Round. Outside of combat the duration is 1 minute and then an additional 1 minute per 1 Motivation spent.

The Force Power can also be extended to another ally, one per each additional level of Battle Meditation acquired.

Each Round that the Battle Meditation is active, the affected allies can add the bonus die to one Action per Turn, be that a Skill Check, Attack or Defense that they make (basically whenever the character would have dice rolled for them) for the duration that the power is in effect.
